I was asked in an interview at my current job “ How do you stay inspired in a world of copy cats”. First of all, like wow isn’t that a great question. I was stunned because no one has asked me what inspires me or what keeps me going. To be honest, It’s so hard to stay inspired with “life happening” but then you sit back and say wow Thank You, God! You keep blessing me and making a way for me every day. I’m alive and well and that’s something to be inspired by. Life itself!

But that wasn’t my answer (lol). In my head that was my answer. Truthfully, I’m inspired by the constant support of my friends and family. Without them, I would not be where I am today. My mom is the real reason I do anything. As a single parent, she provided everything for me and my sisters. She has always inspired me to work hard and to do everything in excellence. Whether it was Dance, Colorguard, Majoring in Fashion, etc. My mom was always supportive of the choices I decided to make. The bar that she set for me and my sisters was raised so high but also achievable. I'm so proud of the person I've become because of her guidance. Since I was very little, I’ve always loved fashion and she never held me back from that. That’s why I’m so passionate about fashion, blogging, and editorial work. It allows me to curate fresh ideas not only with my job but also with my blog. I’m constantly gaining knowledge from her and trailblazers like June Ambrose, Lindsay Peoples Wagner, Elaine Welteroth and the list goes on. Just incredible women doing amazing things.

Although I may find inspiration, sometimes I’m not inspired at all. I believe it’s healthy to take a mini-break, but know when it’s time to get back on track. We live in a world where we feel like we have to be motivated 24/7 to do something or start a project, and that’s not true. Sometimes we need to take a break to realize what’s important to us! For me, I know I tend to put other people’s needs before my own and hold off on things that I want to pursue. Since being on quarantine, I’ve learned to take all the pressure off of my back and focus on what’s important in my life and then letting the inspiration come from that energy!

Alright enough about me, In the comments below tell me who inspires you and why!
