Oh my gosh, I can’t believe that we are already towards the end of November and it’s Thanksgiving! It’s officially holiday season so you know what that means. Shopping, shopping, and more shopping. Although I love spending a good coin, Black Friday and I have a love/ hate relationship. I love a good deal, but I hate to deal with the hustle and bustle of it all. Although you won’t see me shopping for Black Friday, Cyber Monday I’m ready for you. Here are some BF tips that I used to help me on this long but fun day!

1) Know the Difference between what you want VS. want you need

Already plan out what you are going to purchase. Having a plan in your head of the items you need is very important. Distractions will def come. By having a game plan for the stores you want to go to and the products that you have to buy, Black Friday shopping will be a breeze.

2) Bring a friend

Having someone to say “ No, you don’t need that Jasmine” is my favorite kind of shopping partner. Bring a friend that is fun to go shopping with but also stern enough to put you right back on track. Also, people are people and sometimes it can get a little crazy, having someone in your corner for backup is always needed when shopping in big crowds!

3) Coffee is a must

I’m not a hard going coffee drinker, but this would be the day I would transform into one. Depending on the stores you attend you might be up at the crack of dawn to be the first to purchase your items. You will need the energy to make it through the day! Drink that Coffee girl, you got this!

4) Don’t forget to eat and take a break

If you’re like me in any shape or form, when you’re on a mission there is no stopping or taking a break. I’m going to finish what I started and nothing will break my focus. But in this case, take a food break and rest. The stores you’re going to are stationary, which means they are not going anywhere. Most of the time stores close at 9 pm on BF so you have plenty of time to break your shopping up.

Last But Not Least, Please be kind to everyone, Especially Retail Employees

Retail is important. Retail employees are important. We are all human and we will sometimes have a bad attitude or day. Just show them some love! Keeping a store up to par is already a hard thing to do, just think about how hectic it is for them when over 100 people are in the store at one time. Be courteous and understanding if something goes wrong with your purchase or if they don’t have a certain item you can. Help them out. If you are looking through a rack and the top that you just touched falls to the floor, just place it back. It only takes two seconds. Imagine someone coming to your 9-5 job wrecking your desk you’ve fixed all day, it would def. suck; treat them like you want to be treated. When they ask you about your day or how you are, answer them back, make a connection with them. All in all, they are there to help you, and you can intern help them.

I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving and a blast shopping this Friday! Please stay safe and shop a little for your girl!
